Get ready to rock out, indie music fans! We know you’re excited about all the recently announced fantastic spring and summer festivals – but slow down; it’s only February. There are a lot of great shows to catch this month right here in Atlanta! So grab your tickets and get ready for an unforgettable night of music at these can’t-miss shows:
Our top picks:
🎤 Rose Hotel: Get ready for a musical journey like no other with Rose Hotel, the dazzling Atlanta-based dream pop band led by the talented Jordan Reynolds. Expect a wild ride through her catalog of smooth songwriting, all expertly combined for an electrifying, genre-blurring experience. Backed by a powerhouse band of Atlanta’s finest musicians, Rose Hotel is guaranteed to leave you entranced and thoroughly entertained.
Openers for the night include Brennan Wedl, Brody Price, and another talented Atlanta-based artist, Jesse Nighswonger.
Date: 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4; Location: 529 – 529 Flat Shoals Ave SE
🎸 Chrome Castle: This Atlanta band serves up an irresistible blend of instrumental indie rock, what they call “cinematic dream surf,” with a touch of 60s sunshine psychedelia and a dash of 80s post-punk flair. We caught their opening act for The Compartmentalizationalists (also playing this month) a few months ago and were blown away! Ready to hear more? Check out their self-titled debut album and EP Forts, on Bandcamp.
And bonus! If you’re a fan of getting down on the dance floor, The Neon Queen will headline this show at Wild Heaven West End, bringing the music of ABBA to entertain audiences of all ages.
Date: 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11; Location: The Garden Club at Wild Heaven Beer – West End – 1010 White St SW
🤟 Avery Leigh’s Night Palace: Night Palace’s album Diving Rings is like a magical trip through time, blending elements of nostalgic pop with dreamy psychedelia. The album is a work of art, with captivating pop melodies, lush instrumentation, and glimpses of trippy vibes, all brought to life by Avery Draut’s intimate vocals.
This gem of an album was released last spring and has been getting raves ever since. It even earned a shoutout on the popular NPR podcast “All Songs Considered” and was named one of AllMusic’s best albums of 2022.
House of Bacchus, “ the fresh incarnation of Michael McGill’s Atlanta-based multiverse,” will be headlining.
Date: 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24; Location: Smith’s Olde Bar – 1578 Piedmont Ave NE
