Post-punk noise rockers, Autolux coasted into Terminal West Monday night with opener Eureka the Butcher.

Marcel Rodriguez-Lopez, aka Eureka the Butcher, opened up with a drum heavy, electronic one-man-band set drenched in spooked vocals and heavy bass kicks. Always cool to see a minimalist approach bring so much sound.

Autolux, touring behind their new album Pussy’s Dead (due out April 1st), were knocking out old favorites and new tracks in a seemingly quick, yet tight set. Bassist Eugene Goreshter swung into controlled squelching feedback lunges while Carla Azar pounded the skins with nailing lady-android styled vocals. All other noise provided by professional pedal-stomper and guitarist Greg Edwards. From their chops, down to their monochromatic stage theme,, Autolux threw down and showed why they’ve developed a faithful following from other musicians around the country.
