Portland, OR’s Neo gospel soul artist Liz Vice, touring behind her debut album (2015), There’s a Light, is coming to Atlanta next Friday, May 6th in the intimate setting at Eddie’s Attic. With Vice’s soulful vocals, timeless lyrics, and clear gospel influences, she gives a fresh take on “retro” soul. Hidden in you will find shades of the great soul artists of the past, but there’s still hints of bands like Alabama Shakes, mixing in a modern edge.
The breakout artist never intended to share her vocals with the world. For someone who didn’t think they would live past 20 after being diagnosed with autoimmune disease and her kidneys began to fail at 15, then years of dialysis, Liz Vice is ready to be heard.
Friday night is Atlanta’s chance to see Liz Vice live and we have a CD of her debut album to give away. All you have to do is save the image below onto your phone, and regram the picture on your Instagram to be entered into the contest. Make sure to tag @OpenEars_Music so we see your entry. Winner chosen at random.
The winner of the CD can pick it up at her show at Eddie’s Attic, and don’t leave without getting it signed by Liz Vice herself.
Entrants have until Sunday May 1st to enter. Winner announced via our Instagram at 5PM.
