Criminal Records in Atlanta has long been known for their killer all-ages, in-store events and if you’re paying attention, you could’ve caught the likes of Lee Bains, Mastodon, The Lemon Twigs and the Pretenders for free or for the price of their newest release in the just the last six months or so.
Add Atlanta’s own, Faye Webster to that list.
With a ton of friends, family and fans in the audience, Faye took the stage with her band and launched into “She Won’t Go Away,” the first song on her self-titled record on Awful Records. While her set leaned heavily on tunes from her new record, she also dropped a few new tunes in the set, joking, “This is a new one, please don’t record this one.”
The set featured some fantastic pedal-steel guitar, soulful vocals and steady, lazy beats that hypnotized the crowd as quickly as it got them all swaying along to every song.
