Atlanta, Georgia was waiting anxiously to host the Orlando, Florida-based duo — Sales, on Thursday night. The band originally were slated to play on the 25th of June, but the tour was cancelled due to the band wanting to remain independent.
Opening the night was two local Atlanta bands; Pseudo Color and Young Sirens.
Kicking off right at 8PM, Pseudo Color introduced the crowd to a dreamy soundscape that was reminiscent of Radiator Hospital. With delicate and dulcet vocals, lead singer Keron Robinson led the night into a magnificent start.
Next up was Young Sirens. The band consisted of three members, and one of them came as a surprise. There was the drummer (Zo Chapman), Guitarist/Lead Singer (Chava Flax), and last but not least a cello player (Mallika Balakrishnan). The trio set on to deliver a pleasantly raw set to the audience.
To cap off the night Lauren Morgan, Jordan Shih, and touring drummer Joy brought their simple, yet brilliant music to the fairly packed room of Purgatory. Wasting no time, the band rolled into many fan favorites including “Ivy”, “Getting It On”, and even debuted an un-recorded song “#1 Hit Single”. Watch below, and make sure to catch Sales on one of their remaining tour dates.
