Shaky Knees is officially back!!! Shaky Knees Music Festival just dropped it’s 2021 lineup featuring headliners Stevie Nicks, Run The Jewels and The Strokes! Set for October 22-24, the Atlanta-based festival is moving forward with plans for the 2021 festival to actually take place after the COVID-19 Pandemic cancelled the previously announced 2020 Shaky Knees.
The festival which usually takes place in early May, will make a move this year to the autumn skies of Central Park in Midtown this October, the site of the previous two Shaky Knees, 2022 dates have already been announced when the festival returns to it’s usual Spring slot, next year being April 29-May 1, 2022.
While Shaky Knees Festival is traditionally a rock music festival, the 2021 lineup has expanded upon it’s usual formula with Run The Jewels immediately jumping off the lineup. RTJ, featuring Atlanta hometown hero Killer Mike, and Brooklyn’s EL-P, should be one of the most insane sets this festival has ever seen, and that says a lot considering the history of Shaky Knees Music Festival. Stevie Nicks is an absolute legend who will mesmerize fans of all ages. The Strokes, who were previously scheduled to headline SK2020, are indie rock heroes who already know this festival well. Throw in some other Shaky Knees Festival familiar faces like Modest Mouse, Mac DeMarco, Portugal. The Man, Idles, and Delta Spirit, other legends like Alice Cooper, current indie buzz bands like St. Vincent, Orville Peck, Tennis, Black Midi, and more, then throw in plenty of new artists to discover as per usual with this fest, including Atlanta’s own up and comers Lunar Vacation, and you have what should be another stellar Shaky Knees Music Festival. 2021 has a little something for everyone!
