On An On came on the music scene with their first two singles “Ghosts” and “The Hunter.” The success of those two set them up pretty well for the release of their debut Give In back in 2013. Their new single “Icon Love” is off of their newly-released sophomore record And The Wave Has Two Sides which, given the band’s history, should really be treated like their first record as an established, collective unit.
The trio out of Minneapolis, made up of Nate Eiesland, Ryne Estwing, and Alissa Ricci, had already booked studio time when their former band (Scattered Trees) had broken up. The three decided to go ahead and utilize that studio time resulting with their debut Give In. Two years later, this new release comes from a band that has really found their sound, and has a much clearer vision for the direction of their music.
“Icon Love” is different than the tracks that were on Give In… This track is less synth-pop and more indie rock with a killer bassline. A song about loneliness and longing for love, it has a sound that’s more mature, but with that dreamy, electronic 80s influence On An On’s fans really love.
Since the release of this second record, On An On has been touring the United States and is currently on tour with SAINT MOTEL:
October 17 – Iowa City, IA – Gabe’s
October 18 – Omaha, NE – The Waiting Room
October 20 – Englewood, CO – Gothic Theatre
October 21 – Boulder, CO – Fox Theatre
