Sunset Sessions returned for 2016 Sunday night at Park Tavern. This Radio 105.7 and Bowery Presents South hosted series gets some impressive acts for free shows every Sunday through the Summer.
Neon Indian kicked it off this season with supporting acts Hank & Cupcakes and Cousin Dan. Cousin Dan, love child of Kenny Powers and T-pain, brought auto-tuned, robotic grooves to the millennial crowd. Despite guitar malfunction, Dan knows how to ham it up for the crowd.
Indie-electronic artist Neon Indian came through with a polished set of dance heavy hits. Frontman Alan Palomo tirelessly strutted around stage all evening to unavoidably catchy ear-worms. The vibe was electric and at times humorous with the keyboardist showing the crowd how they copped one of their songs from Michael McDonald’s “What a Fool Believes.” Don’t miss a chance to see these energetic up and comers if they come back to to the A.
