Adron is an Atlanta based-singer songwriter just weird and quirky enough, with the songwriting chops, gentle, pleasing voice, and a style that’s different, her own, yet hard to nail down a genre. She is poised to make waves across the indie landscape. This is a live session for “The Sun Behind The Sun” just released, from her excellent 2011 album Organismo
This music video was created in conjunction with Green Room music video camp, 3 Owl Media, ATL Collective, and Ben Franklin Academy high school students: Liam Murphy, Will Keenan, Declan Greenwald, and Harrison Citron.
Camp Registration is open for July 2015: thegreenroomATL.org. Parents, don’t miss the chance to sign your kids up for this camp to teach them film and music production skills. Bands that want their own professionally done music video and want to work with kids, make sure to contact them to grab your spot for this camp before they are gone.
The Green Room is a program of re:imagine/ATL, a nonprofit that uses film and music production as platform for youth to empower other youth.
Teens! This Sunday there is free film and video career day on March 15th from 1-4pm, at the Clarkston Community Center! Industry professionals teaching about special FX, makeup, art design on sets, lighting, and camera techniques. Also, you will get to network with some pretty cool people from the industry. Email susanna@reimagineATL.com if you are planning to attend!
*re:imagine/ATL was founded in March 2014, and is currently a mobile program that partners with local organizations in the city. The plan is to move into a state-of-the-art, kid-powered studio space in the near future.
**The Green Room music video camp infuses film, entrepreneurship, visual art, music, and storytelling into a 5-day program for 5th-12th. Each camp runs 5 days at a time, has movie set catering for lunch, and teaches the full process of creating a video from pre-to-post production. Camp is held at Georgia Tech’s Music Department, MASS Collective, and Camp Twin Lakes.

***Adron is rapidly being recognized as one of the most uniquely gifted songwriters and vocalists of this generation. Named Best Songwriter of 2012 by the Atlanta-based arts and culture magazine Creative Loafing, she has managed to unite audiences from wildly far-flung backgrounds, age groups and subcultures with her universally communicative and infectious music. In a style nearly impossible to describe using the terms of conventional genres, she playfully blends Brazilian samba, bossa nova and Tropicália with the sincerity and thoughtfulness of singer-songwriters like Joni Mitchell and Harry Nilsson, and the full-bodied rhythms of 1970’s pop and r&b.
