Info: Jaguar Dreams brings danceable indie-rock to New York straight from a shack in the Amazon where they wrote their debut EP. But first, a nod to their jungle inspired moniker, the band delivers a luscious cover of Fleetwood Mac’s classic “Dreams” to get us salivating for the EP to follow.
Comments: What an interesting way to officially introduce themselves to the world. The first single from new Brooklyn-based band Jaguar Dreams is a Fleetwood Mac cover of “Dreams” off their 1977 album Rumours. Not only is this one of Fleetwood Mac’s most popular songs, and only #1 Single, but this certainly isn’t the first cover of the song either. Jaguar Dreams stays true to the original but instead uses Stranger Things like synths that are both dark and lush, before bringing in more modern recognizable indie pop beats that keeps the song on the uptake of the darkness and uplifting spirit. It’s one of those songs that you dance out the demons too, a beautiful take on a classic that has grabbed our interest for their upcoming debut.
