There is now a global release date in effect that starts this week, instead of having the official US release date for new albums on Tuesdays like it’s been for awhile, the world banded together and decided you are going to have to buy and enjoy new music during your weekend instead of work week. Productivity levels are already down on Fridays as we prepare to start our weekends early, and now Fridays might as well be pointless for work as your job is check out and buy new albums on Fridays for now on. Sorry boss, this wasn’t our choice, but someone’s gotta do it!
This New Music Tues…(it’s gonna take a minute to get this straight) Friday 7/10/15 celebrates the release of the first Veruca Salt album in nearly a decade (check out Nina Gordon’s OpenEars Influential album she did for us here). We are also extremely pumped for the new album from Athens, Alabama’s Anderson East and the debut from Brooklyn’s EZTV (which we will have a review of their killer show in Atlanta with Jacco Gardner next week).
Our full list of picks for this New Music Friday 7/10:
